Course Materials
The GT1000 course covers a range of topics related to the freshman year, well-timed to help students execute necessary collegiate tasks as they come up during the term. GT 1000 core components include major or career exploration, resume writing and development, and a group/team experience.
Fall GT1000 sections vary a great deal by interest area, while spring and summer sections focus mainly on the above core areas.
A textbook has been developed specifically for GT1000 and is available at the Georgia Tech Barnes and Noble Bookstore: GT1000 Freshman Seminar, Adjusting to College Life, by Denis Waitley. Not all sections of the course will use this book, and students are advised to wait until the first class to see whether their instructor requires it. Other course materials will be made available by the instructor.
